Here are 8 pictures from a one week trip to Mexico in February 2005. Into Mexico City, bus to Acapulco, bus to Zihuatanejo, bus back to Acapulco, bus back to Mexico City. Good food, nice beaches, great bus links everywhere, and darn cheap--a few hundred dollars for the whole trip.
Zihuatanejo / Beach; this seemed the nicest of the beach towns I visited; less overgrown and upscaly than Acapulco or Ixtapa
Acapulco / One of zillions of entertainingly painted, super loud stereo blasting local buses (this is the Shrek bus)
Between Acapulco and Mexico City / Big wide comfortable first class seating with snacks and beverages... on the Estrella de Oro "Diamante" bus
Between Acapulco and Mexico City / Cool huge bridge on the toll road
Mexico City / Building in Zocalo, central square in Mexico City
Mexico City / Zocalo, central square where the federal government is headquartered, with lots of semipermanent protesters about
Mexico City / Zocalo, central square
Mexico City / Intricately tiled building
