I spent a few days in Uruguay at the start of a 4 week trip to South America in Feb/Mar 2009. Stayed at a great B&B in Montevideo (www.unanochemas.com.uy) and got some quality beach time in. Here are some photos:

Wow! Real airline food on an airplane! In coach! And it was pretty good! (Copa Airlines to Montevideo.)

Punta Del Este is a high profile, high quality beach resort area in Uruguay; this sunset was so good that people around me applauded when it finished.
